About the Studio

Welcome to Joy of Movement Dance Center!

Our fondness and passion for dance is contagious and we would love to have you join our studio family to experience it! We offer classes in a variety of dance genres for students ages 2 and up. Classes are offered for the student who wishes to dance for the pure joy of movement as well as a more advanced program for the dance-minded student who has the goal of becoming a professional artist.

Our dance educators have college degrees in Dance and Education, are technically trained, have a plethora of dance teaching and dance performance experience and are dedicated to providing our students with a superior dance education.

Joy of Movement Dance Center adheres to the following philosophy of dance education:

  • Understand that every student is unique and deserves individual attention
  • Foster confidence and a work ethic in our students with the belief that as long as students possess dreams combined with the determination to achieve them, that the sky is the limit!
  • Provide a well-rounded dance education, which helps students learn about creating, thinking critically, and communicating while aiding their self-confidence, poise, and self awareness
  • Create a fun atmosphere in which to learn the technique of dance including making friends, using props, and playing games!
The skills your children will learn at Joy of Movement Dance Center will help them develop into well-rounded individuals who are prepared to perform and excel not only in dance but in life.

We would love for you to be part of the Joy of Movement family! Our studio has a very relaxed atmosphere, as we know families are so busy today with many different activities. We also feel it is important to offer a quality dance education, from classes to performance experiences, at an affordable price. In addition, we have small class sizes, which means that your child will receive much more teacher and participation time. However, most importantly we want our students to have fun while they are learning to dance!
