Registration Fee

$25 per family; this is a non-refundable fee due at the time of registration.

Tuition Rates:

Fees are based on a 10 month season. The first payment is due at the time of registration in order to have your child confirmed in a class.

Additional classes beyond 3 classes/week are billed at $60/month per class.

4 Team styles/Ballet/Skills/Production: $160/month

5 Team styles/Ballet/Skills/Production: $165/month

PRIVATE LESSONS (twice a month) - SEPT/OCT-JUNE:

Solo-$50/30 mins ($100/month)

Duet-$25 (per dancer)/30 mins ($50/month)

Trio- $15(per dancer)/30 mins ($30/month)

Private Lessons (Block scheduling)-MOST dancers will be scheduled like this!!

Solo- $300/2 hrs +choreography- $50/30 mins 1x per month (MANDATORY)

Duet- $150(per dancer)/2 hrs choreography-$25/per dancer/per 30 mins 1x per month (MANDATORY)

Trio- $100 (per dancer) 2 hours choreography-$15/per dancer per 30 mins 1x per month (MANDATORY)

*A Google calendar with times available will be provided.
*ALL solo, duet trios MUST participate in at least 1 of our solo, duet, trio (SDT) workshops* ($25 per dance)

Elite Groups Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical

$125 (per dancer) 2 hours choreography- $25 (per dancer)/60 mins rehearsals as scheduled by the choreographer

*Sunday morning stretch billed at $25 per class (team dancers required to participate in 2 per season)
*Pointe/Pre-Pointe billed at $25/month
**Additional Skills classes billed at $10/each
***ALL other Recreational classes billed at $60/month

Student studio rentals:

Dancers requesting extra studio time to rehearse solos, duets, etc will be scheduled on an "as needed" basis. Please note, there will be a $25
charge per hour and dancers MUST be supervised by an adult.

Other Notes

Monthly tuition savings-Any dancer/family that brings a new student to JOM will receive a $10 credit towards tuition. The new dancer must sign up for at least 1 month of dance.

Late Fee:

A $25 late fee will be assessed for tuition not received by the 15th of the month (fees assessed regardless of holidays or classes missed).

Returned Check Fee:

There will be a $40 bounced check fee for all returned checks.

Payments:

You will not receive a bill for tuition unless you are late with your payment. Payments can be made by cash or check (checks made payable to Joy of Movement Dance Center). Tuition payments can be given to the Director at class or paid thru our secure PayPal site. TUITION OR OTHER FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE OR TRANSFERABLE FOR ANY REASON.

Student Resignation:

If a student is resigning from a class, written notice must be received or else you will continue to be charged tuition each month.

Missed Classes:

There will be no tuition reductions due to missed classes. If a class is missed, make-ups are available, but must be taken within 1 month of the absence.

Attendance:

Regular attendance and being on time for class is very important for your child's dance education process. Please try to limit tardiness and absences and make the studio aware if your child will be missing class.

Studio Closings:

Please refer to the school calendar for days the studio is closed due to holidays and school closures. Also in case of inclement weather, please call 215-262-0637 or check our website or Facebook to determine if classes are canceled.

Dance Attire:

Dance Attire:

Students should wear proper dance attire to ensure a safe and productive learning environment. Hair must be tied back for all classes and students should not wear any large jewelry. Please see the following dress guidelines below:

  • Preschool Dance: Any color leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers
  • Kindergarten Dance: Any color leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, black tap shoes
  • Ballet: Any color leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers
  • Jazz/Musical Theater/Hip Hop: Any color leotard and tights, can also wear dance shorts or jazz pants with a form-fitting top, and tan jazz shoes. If combo class includes ballet, can use pink ballet slippers instead of tan jazz shoes
  • Tap: Any color leotard and tights, can also wear dance shorts or jazz pants with a form-fitting top and tan tap shoes
